An old bottle of Bowmore Surf Islay single malt whisky. Bowmore Surf was a duty free exclusive, sold in litre bottles at travel retail outlets. This is a relatively early edition, bottled no later than 2005/6.
Bowmore Surf made its debut around the turn of the millennium and was a popular expression, surviving several range revamps before finally being discontinued around 2013. This no-nonsense easy drinking Bowmore was an ideal entry-level Islay single malt whisky for those who had yet to dip their toes in the Islay style.

I bought this as a present then did the tour with my brother at Lindores Abbey distillery in Newburgh Fife.The bottle i bought from Whisky-online was cheaper than at Lindores ,very happy again and a very quick delivery.
