Lowland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Hunter Laing 70cl / 52.3%
A 1992 Rosebank 21-year-old bottled in 2013 by Hunter Laing without colouring or chill filtration for their Old & Rare Platinum Selection from a single hogshead cask, yielding just 122 bottles at its cask strength of 52.3%.
Distilled in 1992, the year before the distillery closed, this 21-year-old Rosebank is a wonderfully elegant dram full of Rosebank's classic oily fruit and full-bodied, cereal charm. As with several other closed Diageo distilleries, the whiskies made in the last few years of Rosebank's original lifetime have turned out to be among the distillery's finest, and are now a benchmark for the new distillery to try and recreate when production resumes.
