A 1996 Clynelish bottled in 2014 at 18 years of age by Hunter Laing for their Old & Rare series. This one was matured in a refill hogshead with an outturn of 304 bottles at 54.9%. Almost all the 1996 Clynelish we've tasted so far have been excellent and this seems to be a peak age and cask type for them. If you like fresh, complex, coastal, characterful whisky then this should be perfect.
