A 1984 Caol Ila bottled in 2014 at 30 years of age by Hunter Laing for their Old & Rare series. This one was matured in a refill hogshead with an outturn of 246 bottles at 53.2%. These aged 80s Caol Ilas are almost all utterly fantastic whiskies, packed full of smoked tea, seashore notes, citrus fruits and peppery, medicinal bite. Gorgeous aged Islay single malt at its best.
