A 1963 Strathisla bottled in 2011 by G&M at around 48 years of age. When Strathisla remains this pale at such great age it is usually a sign the whisky will be astonishingly fruity, which is every inch the case with this amazing bottling, an incredible fruit bomb, the definition of utterly luscious whisky. Incredible value for this kind of quality.

Raisin and chocolate aroma and a taste of sherry with dried fruits and nuts and a little spice. Dry almost savoury despite the fruits with wine gums in the finish. (Taken with a good slug of water).
