An old bottle of Macallan 1998 bottled at 43% by Gordon & MacPhail for their Speymalt range in 2016, so this is either a 17-year-old or an 18-year-old.
The Speymalts have long been one of the most reliable ways to find vintage Macallans and are always exceptionally good value compared to equivalent official bottlings. This is a sweet, fruity Macallan with gentle sherry influence and spicy oak on the palate.
