A single cask 1988 Tomatin bottled in 2021 as a 31-year-old without colouring or chill filtration by Gordon & MacPhail for their Connoisseurs Choice Cask Strength range.

Tomatin has long been one of the unsung heroes of the highlands, but thankfully in the last decade or so a series of impressive official bottlings and some absolutely terrific casks from indie bottlers have been raising the distillery's profile and stature among whisky fans.

This 31-year-old Tomatin 1988 was matured in a refill hogshead cask #6655 that yielded just 173 bottles at a poly natural cask strength of 57.3%. The stars are aligned for this one, it should be absolutely fantastic - Tomatin 1988 may not have the reputation of the exquisite 1976 vintage yet but who knows what the next few years will bring from this vintage.
