Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: The Alistair Walker Whisky Company 70cl / 58.1%
A 13-year-old Glenlossie 2009 bottled in 2022 from a re-charred hogshead single cask 799 by Alistair Walker Whisky Co. at its robust natural strength of 58.1% for their Infrequent Flyers series.
Glenlossie is a workhorse distillery that shares a site with Mannochmore, which was constructed almost a century later, and the vast majority of the output of both distilleries is used for owner Diageo's Haig and Dimple blended Scotch whiskies, so it's nice to see Glenlossie getting a runout as a single malt. The only official bottling of Glenlossie is the pleasant but unremarkable Flora & Fauna 10-year-old - we'd wager that this cask strength Infrequent Flyers Glenlossie 13-year-old will be a considerably more characterful dram.
Please note that this Glenlossie 2009 is Strictly Maximum 1 Bottle Per Customer. Duplicate orders will be deleted.

Tasting Notes
Official Tasting Notes
Colour: Dark copper.
Nose: Dynamic. Toffee, caramel, fresh ginger and allspice.
Palate: Lush. Deliciously sweet. Pop tarts. Demerara sugars, crème brûlée and Hovis digestives. Super spicy and peppery notes come through towards the end. These re-charred casks can be quite fantastic.
