From the Winter 2018 release of Glenfarclas's Family Casks series, this Glenfarclas 1980 38-year-old comes from Cask 1916, a refill hogshead that yielded 184 bottles at 43.3%.
These refill cask Glenfarclases (Glenfarcli?) are fascinating, and prove beyond doubt that Glenfarclas aren't just a one-trick pony with access to fantastic sherry casks. Cask 1916 joins a long line of refill Family Casks that demonstrate the fantastic quality of Glenfarclas's spirit and its extraordinary ageing ability. Fabulous stuff.
