This 21-year-old Glen Elgin 1995 was bottled without colouring or chill filtration from a single bourbon hogshead cask that yielded 252 bottles at a poky natural cask strength of 55.2%. Glen Elgin makes a robust, structured spirit and at this sort of age it should be delightful whisky for Speyside fans.

I’m not a great fan of Peated Whisky but this one is superb, gently Peated Sherry Hogshead doesn’t get better than this very smooth Whisky, a very pleasant surprise.
