Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Elixir Distillers 70cl / 48%
Teaninich is another distillery like Linkwood, Dailuaine, Mannochmore, Inchgower and many others whose single malt is so useful for owner Diageo's blends that it doesn't have a proper ongoing official bottling outside of the worthy, though often a little mundane, Flora & Fauna series.
Thankfully, of late there've been a few of these great youngish Teaninich casks snapped up by indie bottlers and released at good drinking strengths. Here's a prime example, a small batch Teaninich 2009 bottled as an 11-year-old in 2021 by the good folk at Elixir Distillers at 48% for their small batch Reserve Casks series, and therefore odds-on to be a great whisky at a great value price.
