Islay Blended Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled By Elixir Distillers 70cl / 46%
Elements of Islay Cask Edit is a blended Islay malt whisky launched in summer 2022 as part of a core range trio of cask-themed Elements of Islay blended malts featuring an updated label with added cask information and a flavour profile.
Most significantly for whisky fans, these Elements of Islay blended malts are now in a standard size 70cl apothecary bottle rather than the previous 50cl half-litre bottles.
Elements of Islay Cask Edit is assembled by Elixir Distillers' Head Blender Oliver Chilton from a mix of refill, bourbon and sherry casks and has been bottled at a palate-pleasing 46% without colouring or chill filtration. For the money this looks like fantastic value from Elements of Islay once again.

Tasting Notes
Official Tasting Notes
Nose: The aromatic notes of freshly brewed coffee, tempered with hot milk. Sugared almonds and white chocolate truffles are misted with light peat smoke. A fresh fruit basket brings balance.
Palate: Sweet, with mineral qualities. Vanilla smoke and wood spice permeate through freshly baked butter croissants and hot, milky coffee.
Finish: The finish is lightly smoked and sweet, with gentle notes of fruit salad.
