Lowland Single Grain Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Duncan Taylor 70cl / 54.7%
A single cask North British Lowland grain whisky from the 2007 vintage, bottled as a 14-year-old in 2022 by Duncan Taylor for their Rare Auld Grain series.
North British is the last surviving grain whisky distillery in Edinburgh, and is jointly owned by Diageo and Edrington, for whose manifold blends it produces upwards of 70m litres of spirit per year.
This 14-year-old North British 2007 single cask by Duncan Taylor yielded 325 bottles at its cask strength of 54.7%, and is one of an increasing number of middle-aged grain whiskies from this distillery that have begun appearing in recent times - a trend that open-minded whisky fans who like great value whisky should be delighted to see continue.
