Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Duncan Taylor 70cl / 55%
Macduff, also known as Glen Deveron when owners Bacardi bottle it, is a distillery that produces a lot of single malt for blends like Dewar's and official bottlings are rare. It's thanks to indie bottlers like Duncan Taylor, who fish out the occasional aged cask like this one, that we ever get to try Macduff at all.
This particular Macduff is from the 2008 vintage and has been bottled for Duncan Taylor's Dimensions series at its natural cask strength of 55% after 12 years of maturation in sherry casks. Macduff generally sits well in sherry, so this should be pretty tasty.
