Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Duncan Taylor 70cl / 53.1%
An 11-year-old Benrinnes 2010 enhanced by Duncan Taylor in one of their mini sherry casks, known as Octaves because eight of them are made from a single sherry butt.
After an initial maturation in plain oak casks, this 2010 Benrinnes spent the last nine months of its ageing in Octave Cask #9130799 before bottling (without colouring or chill filtration, naturally), yielding just 76 bottles at 53.1%. With such a limited supply, none of these octave bottlings last long, so grab it while you can.

This octave (Benrinnes 2010 cask no 9130799) was the bottle we purchased for our pre season committee meeting at the rugby club, and was by far the best whisky we have brought to the event in a long time. So much so that the club will be seeking to invest in a further 2 bottles, 1 for our sponsors whisky bar and 1 for future storage due to limited bottling of 76 bottles (now 75 !!) beat the collectors to this lovely drop, you won’t be disappointed.
