The first release in the Spiritualist Series from Douglas Laing is this 14-year-old unnamed single cask Islay whisky.
Named "Balance" this particular bottling is supposed to take you away from the hustle and bustle of daily life and am sure it will take many folks back to the peaceful southern shores of Islay.
This single cask Unnamed Islay whisky was distilled in November 2005 and matured for 14 years in a single refill hogshead #DL14031.
It was bottled in April 2020 at a cask strength of 53.2% by Douglas Laing for their Old Particular Spiritualist series with a yield of just 325 bottles.

Complex with subtle dried citrus, raisins as I would usually like in a sherry cask but something (the smoke, grape skins ? from the sherry cask?) unwelcome reminds me of grappa.
