This Cooper's Choice Caol Ila is subtitled Bonfire and Blackberries, a reference to the flavours imparted to the smoky Caol Ila by ruby port cask that this previously bourbon-matured whisky was finished in.
This 2022 release of Caol Ila Bonfire & Blackberries is a single cask release from Cask 6677, which turned out 474 bottles at 43.5%, and has been bottled without colouring or chill filtration.
The clue is in my name (Mr C Cooper) ... this particular expression has all the haul marks of a great dram.. however now takes pride of place in my collection. Perhaps an opener for new years eve ? Whiskey Online service safe delivery on time 5 star.
