A single cask Ardmore 2003 17-year-old Highland single malt whisky bottled in 2021 by indie bottlers Cooper's Choice from a single ex-bourbon cask (801285) at 48.5%, pretty much a perfect drinking strength for a whisky of this age.
Islay fans who have yet to try Ardmore could do a lot worse than starting here. Expect smoked vanilla and ashy, sooty phenols all the way, but tempered by the long ageing.
