This 2010 Linkwood 13-year-old came from a single hogshead cask that yielded 267 bottles at a very tempting natural cask strength of 52.4% and is subtitled 'Christmas Edition', indicating that it's BBR's recommended dram for the big day - no doubt because it was finished in a cask that previously held Pedro Ximenez sherry.

Nose: Spice and apricot jelly aromas tease on the nose before vanilla and nutmeg develop with time.
Palate: The palate is a pleasing balance of orange liqueurs, dark chocolate and marzipan all rolled in a layer of oak and cinnamon.
Finish: More orange notes roll across the finish alongside apricots and clove. This is a hugely fulfilling dram so after a long Christmas day, have yourself a merry little Linkwood.
