The splendid Berry Bros & Rudd Sherry Cask Matured Scotch whisky has recently been upgraded. The sherried version of the posh wineseller's Classic Range edition started life in 2019 as a blended malt whisky bottled at 44.2%, but was relaunched early in 2024 as a single malt at a new strength of 45.3%.
Although we don't know the region or distillery for this sherried single malt, it's an assertive youngish dram with textbook sweet sherry flavours, spices, nuts and a hint of struck matches. A great value for money dram from BBR.
