Description

Island Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Distillery Bottling 75cl / 40%

A bottle of the short-lived Scapa 14-year-old, which was available for only a few years in the mid-Noughties around the time of the distillery's refurbishment and subsequent Chivas Brothers takeover. This 14-year-old Scapa replaced the iconic old Seagram-era Scapa 12-year-old and was overpriced on initial release, to the dismay of many whisky fans.

Discontinued in 2008 to make way for the even more overpriced Scapa 16-year-old, the 14-year-old edition of Scapa is relatively rare now and has enjoyed a reappraisal in the intervening years as many fans who shunned it on principle twenty years ago have since discovered that it's actually a great dram in its own right.
