Old Bardstown is a Kentucky Bourbon whiskey bottled at 90 US proof (45%) by Willett Distillers, one of the USA's largest independent bottlers. This is an easy-drinking bourbon with a mashbill including 13% rye and 15% malted barley.
Willet have been distilling their own bourbon again since 2012 (the distillery previously stopped making whiskey in the late 1970s and was closed in 1984), although Old Bardstown is still widely assumed to be sourced from Willett's neighbours Heaven Hill.

A classic Bourbon. On the nose, caramel, oak, vanilla, and just a hint of floral notes. The palate follows with more of the same. A softer style Bourbon, this is a great gateway dram to converting someone to becoming a Bourbon drinker.

Complex with subtle dried citrus, raisins as I would usually like in a sherry cask but something (the smoke, grape skins ? from the sherry cask?) unwelcome reminds me of grappa.
