A single cask Macallan 2007 18-year-old Speymalt released in 2025 by indie bottlers Gordon & MacPhail as part of their famous Speymalt series.
This 18-year-old Macallan 2007 Speymalt came from single cask 14479, a refill sherry hogshead cask released without colouring or chill filtration with an outturn of 234 bottles at its natural cask strength of 55.9%. The words 'bargain' and 'Macallan' don't often occur together, except in the negative, but this really looks like a bargain cask strength 18-year-old Macallan from G&M.

Complex with subtle dried citrus, raisins as I would usually like in a sherry cask but something (the smoke, grape skins ? from the sherry cask?) unwelcome reminds me of grappa.
