Distilled in 2001 and matured for at least 21 years in first fill sherry hogshead cask #20600304, this Macallan was bottled at its natural cask strength of 53.9%, with an outturn of just 318 bottles.
Gordon & MacPhail’s long relationship with Macallan has made Speymalt one of the most consistently appealing sources of mature, independently bottled whisky from the distillery. With over two decades in a first fill sherry hogshead and a hearty natural strength, this looks like another absolute belter – and remarkable value for a single cask Macallan of this age.
