A single cask Kilchoman 2006 12-year-old Islay single malt whisky bottled by the distillery without colouring or chill filtration at full cask strength in 2018. This cask was a private bottling for popular whisky collector Gunnar Nilsson.
Believed to be the first ever official bottling of Kilchoman's whisky at 12 years old, this 12-year-old Kilchoman 2008 came from single cask 118, which was a bourbon hogshead, and was a limited edition of 213 bottles at a hefty natural cask strength of 55.2%.

Complex with subtle dried citrus, raisins as I would usually like in a sherry cask but something (the smoke, grape skins ? from the sherry cask?) unwelcome reminds me of grappa.
