A bottle of Jura's 21-year-old Tide expression, one of pair of Jura 21-year-olds first introduced as Tide & Time in 2019.
The Tide variation of Jura 21-year-old has been matured in American oak before being finished in virgin oak casks for extra flavour impact, and has been bottled at 46.7% to give those flavours a welcome additional oomph.
Bought this as a gift for someone who is a Jura fan. I have always been a Jura sceptic after trying some supermarket bought ones but I was kindly offered a wee dram of this and bloody hell it blew me away - full on flavour with a nie touch of spice at the end. I will now try more of Jura from now!

Complex with subtle dried citrus, raisins as I would usually like in a sherry cask but something (the smoke, grape skins ? from the sherry cask?) unwelcome reminds me of grappa.
