Nose: Confident earthy elements merge with sweet fine oak aromas. This is complimented with sweet cloves and allspice
Appearance: Pronounced red wood glow with a rich gold edge.
Palate: Spicy and long. Superb mocha and hazelnut influences emerge, leading to a sweet rich finish.

Complex with subtle dried citrus, raisins as I would usually like in a sherry cask but something (the smoke, grape skins ? from the sherry cask?) unwelcome reminds me of grappa.
