A 13-year-old Glenallachie single cask of the 2007 vintage, finished in a virgin oak cask and bottled in 2021 at natural cask strength 59.6%. This vintage single cask Glenallachie 2007 has a rich gold colour and extra cake spice and vanilla flavours from the virgin oak finish.
As this is a single cask our allocations are small, so don't delay if you want one of these.

Nose: Vanilla, plantains and apricots, with orange peel, ginger and nutmeg.
Taste: Layers of heather honey, treacle and figs, with orange zest, cinnamon and nutmeg.

Complex with subtle dried citrus, raisins as I would usually like in a sherry cask but something (the smoke, grape skins ? from the sherry cask?) unwelcome reminds me of grappa.
