A single cask Deanston 2012 13-year-old Highland single malt whisky released in 2025 by indie bottlers Alistair Walker Whisky Co. as part of their Infrequent Flyers range.
This 13-year-old Deanston 2012 was bottled without colouring or chill filtration from single cask 805629 after finishing in a Pedro Ximenez sherry puncheon cask that turned out 348 bottles at a hefty natural cask strength of 59.1%.
There's been a bit of buzz about Deanston's whisky in the last few years as more and more whisky aficionados discover the distillery's excellent understated Highland charms. This sherried full strength single cask bottling from Infrequent Flyers should hopefully win the distillery more of the fans it deserves.
Really love this dram, very nice sherry, would recommend this to anyone.

Complex with subtle dried citrus, raisins as I would usually like in a sherry cask but something (the smoke, grape skins ? from the sherry cask?) unwelcome reminds me of grappa.
