From the 3rd batch of releases (late 2020) from our friends at Woolf / Sung Spirits, we have this awesome single cask whisky from Ben Nevis.
As vintages go, 1996 seems to be the top year for Ben Nevis but this 1998 is absolutely stunning.
This whisky was distilled in 1998 and matured in a single ex-bourbon hogshead #674 for 21 years.
It was bottled in 2020 at a cask strength of 53% and with a yield of just 378 bottles by Woof / Sung under for the Artful Dodger Whisky Collective series.

Complex with subtle dried citrus, raisins as I would usually like in a sherry cask but something (the smoke, grape skins ? from the sherry cask?) unwelcome reminds me of grappa.
