This is the second and last cask from 1957. An Oloroso shery cask that has matured for a whopping 50 years. Auchentoshan is light enough to age exceptionally well, in fact it doesn't really become stunning until it has a good thirty years behind it. This bottling is not as intense as the previous 50yo and as result balances the distillery character and wood with dazzling freshness. A truly beautiful dram that is full of polished oak, lush green fruits and stunning aged complexities. Legendary stuff.
