Arran have been producing peated malt since 2004 and this is a small 'toe in the water' cask for us consumers to mull over. It was peated to around 22ppm and matured for only four years but it shows a lot of promise and quite a fragrant, mid-range style of peat that is refreshingly different from the super peat monsters that seem to be coming out more regularly these days. This should get very good with age.
