Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky Bottled by: The Alistair Walker Whisky Company 70cl / 58.7%
A single cask Craigellachie 2012 12-year-old Speyside single malt whisky bottled in 2024 for the UK market without colouring or chill filtration by Alistair Walker Whisky Co. for their marvellous Infrequent Flyers series.
This 12-year-old Infrequent Flyers Craigellachie 2012 was finished in Cask 2342, a new oak barrel that yielded 220 bottles at a potent natural cask strength of 58.7%. Craigellachie is starting to make more frequent appearances these days, which is great news as this excellent distillery is still highly underrated.

An exciting deep rich brown coloured liquid.
A compote of fruit together with dried grapes is lovely on the tongue.
Nicely sweetened syrup is evident too.
Invested in two bottles but will be ordering a third.
Great warming malt enjoyed by two. (One aka Pig)
I know I bought a cask strength whisky but was expecting a nice taste but the strength overpowered the flavor, I found it harsh, but I am not a whiskey conasur. I also bought the secret Orkney signatory cask strength and that was very nice.
