Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: The Alistair Walker Whisky Company 70cl / 45.2%
A 30-year-old Undisclosed Speyside single malt whisky distilled in 1992 and bottled without colouring or chill filtration in 2022 by Alistair Walker Whisky Co. for their Infrequent Flyers Batch 11.
This is the oldest and last of four of these casks from Alistair Walker, with the previous sister casks bottled at 27, 28 and 29 years old. This 1992 Undisclosed Speyside 30-year-old spent the final part of its maturation finishing in a virgin oak cask for a bit of extra pep, and at a palate-friendly 45.2% it should be a proper treat for Speyside fans.

Tasting Notes
Official Tasting Notes
Colour Mid-amber.
Nose: A lovely, soft bouquet. Coconut flakes, pear drops and Parma Violet sweets. New York cheesecake dusted with cinnamon. Badda-bing!
Palate: Lengthy Speyside maturation goes head-to-head with big-punching virgin oak. Initially displays an elegance and fragility, with subtle tropical fruit notes of grapefruit and mango. Banana custard. The virgin oak arrives with vanilla, rich honeycomb, marzipan and Hovis digestives - a hint of spice emerges towards the end.
