A Springbank 2009 9-year-old Campbeltown single malt whisky bottled by the distillery without colouring or chill filtration at cask strength for the legendary Springbank Local Barley series in 2018.
This 9-year-old Springbank 2009 Local Barley was distilled from Optic barley grown on High Cattadale farm on the Kintyre peninsula, and was an edition of 9700 bottles from a mix of 80% bourbon and 20% sherry casks filled in July 2009 and bottled in October 2018 at a natural cask strength of 57.7%.

Complex with subtle dried citrus, raisins as I would usually like in a sherry cask but something (the smoke, grape skins ? from the sherry cask?) unwelcome reminds me of grappa.
