A special 8-year-old Edradour single malt released in 2026 to celebrate Andrew Symington’s 40 years in the whisky industry, marking the anniversary of the beginning of his career in 1986.
Distilled in 2018 at Edradour No. 2, this edition offers an interesting glimpse at the distillery’s expanded production setup. Edradour No. 2 was established as part of the major expansion undertaken under Symington’s ownership, effectively creating a second traditional distillery alongside the original Edradour operation.
This 8-year-old was matured in first-fill Châteauneuf-du-Pape hogsheads, bringing the influence of the Rhône wine casks to Edradour’s characterful Highland spirit. Bottled in 2026 at 57.1% ABV, the whisky is presented at natural colour and without chill filtration.
Released alongside a 6-year-old distilled at Edradour No. 1, the pair were created to commemorate Symington’s four decades in the whisky trade while offering the opportunity to compare spirit produced at Edradour’s two distilling plants.

Fabulous easy on the pallet , likes a little water, warm , buttery and nutty . Everyone I've given it to say how much they love it. Less one star as it's not as long on the pallet as I like. But I'll get more.
For a blended whisky it has character and flavour which can be unusual for a blended. The peatiness is both in the nosing and the drinking. Smooth taste and almost comparable to a single malt.
