Cask 6346 of 2009 Deanston was finished in a cask that formerly held the delightful Bordeaux sweet white wine Sauternes and yielded 277 bottles at an impressive natural cask strength of 57.9%. Deanston is a distillery very much on the up these days, and this will be delightful.

Colour: Tawny.
Nose: Baked fruits - apricot and raisins. Singed toffee and toasted oak.
Palate: Very rich - dessert style. Bountiful raisins and sultanas. Crème brûlée with butterscotch. Mixed spice and aniseed. Apricots dusted with brown sugar.
