Distilled by the Somerset Cider Brandy Company in 2010 and bottled by Adelphi in 2026, this 16-year-old cider brandy is a fascinating limited release. Matured in a single Apple Ice Wine cask and bottled at its natural cask strength of 55.0% without chill filtration or added colouring, it offers a distinctive take on one of England's finest traditional spirits.
Made using locally grown cider apples and aged for sixteen years, the spirit combines the rich orchard fruit character of Somerset cider brandy with the concentrated sweetness and complexity imparted by the Apple Ice Wine cask. Expect layers of baked apple, dried orchard fruits, honey, caramel, warming spice and gentle oak, all balanced by the fresh acidity that gives great cider brandy its trademark elegance.
Drawn from single cask #55, this release yielded just 345 bottles, making it a rare opportunity to experience an exceptional English cider brandy in its purest single cask form.
