This was an opportunity not to miss, seven Gordon & Macphail drams from their huge range. The whiskies were mostly cask strength, each having phenomenal levels of taste and complexity. An excellent opportunity to taste higher price bottles, and a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
I’ve bought a few bottles recently and needed to get in touch to switch my delivery service. No problems and my bottles turned up the following day, carefully packed and with my free sample.

This is and excellent product and didn't realise it was full of good whisky. That a plus.
I usually buy Woodford Reserve for an old Fashioned but don't want to buy American so I gave Stauning Bastard a try. A bit pricey but v nice. The mezcal cask finish gives it distinctive smoky Mexican notes . Unlike WR it's great over ice on its own and the mezcal works perfectly with chilled cola and lime - Also recommend adding a shot of cherry brandy to the latter and topping with IPA for a longer slightly stronger and sweeter drink if that is your fancy.
