An old bottle of Glen Moray from the early 2000s, subtitled Elgin Classic - this is the no-age-statement (NAS) edition in the medium-bodied, approachable style that used to be called breakfast whisky in less enlightened times.
This old Glen Moray NAS edition is a super clean young Speysider full of buttered herb and cereal notes with some very fresh natural barley and green fruit notes. An easy-going summer sipping whisky.

Complex with subtle dried citrus, raisins as I would usually like in a sherry cask but something (the smoke, grape skins ? from the sherry cask?) unwelcome reminds me of grappa.
