The English Whisky Sherry Cask Matured is the first sherry-matured English single malt whisky in The English Distillery's core range, making its debut in 2023, 17 years after the distillery commenced operations in 2006.
Bottled at 46% without colouring or chill filtration, The English Whisky Sherry Cask was very clearly well worth the wait, scooping the top prize of World's Best Single Malt Whisky at the World Whiskies Awards 2024. This Sherry Cask Matured expression is one of three ongoing core English single malt whiskies in the distillery's range for the foreseeable future, but is only made in small batches each year and is understandably hard to come by after its big win.
No wonder this won an award, it’s gorgeous….and it’s English! Will definitely buy again.
