Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whiskies
Bottled by: Gordon & MacPhail 2 x 70cl

A twin set of single cask Longmorn 1961 57-year-old Speyside single malt whiskies released in 2018 by independent bottling legends Gordon & MacPhail for their super-prestige Private Collection Ultra series.

G&M's iconic 'Mr. George' Urquhart commissioned the filling of these first-fill sherry casks at the Longmorn distilleryn the 2nd of February 1961. His grandchildren, twin brothers Stuart and Richard Urquhart, selected these two casks that their grandfather had laid down for the Private Collection Ultra range in 2018, with the casks selected to mirror the personalities of the Urquhart twins - hence the name Twin Set for this release.

At 57 years old, Casks 508 and 512 were the oldest Longmorn single malts ever bottled at the time of release, and remain so at the time of writing in 2025. Cask 508 was a European oak first fill sherry hogshead bottled at 45%, while Cask 512 was an American oak first fill sherry hogshead bottled at 40.8%. Just 100 of these double cask Longmorn 1961 Private Collection Twin Set editions were released, and are now highly sought after by collectors.
