A lovely old bottle of Bowmore 12-year-old Islay single malt whisky, this dates from some time in the 1980s, so the whisky would have been distilled most likely in the early to mid 1970s.

These great old long-necked dumpy bottles would have been on the shelves at a time when Bowmore’s fans were enjoying a golden era as the remarkable 1960s and 1970s distillates passed through the core range. These old 12-year-olds are highly sought-after now - particularly the higher strength 43% versions like this one - and usually show delicious sweet exotic tropical fruit and soft, leathery, raisiny sherry notes.
