An old litre bottle of Bowmore Cask Strength Islay single malt whisky. This is one of the brilliant screenprinted label editions of this top-class Islay whisky, and was likely bottled for travel retail / duty-free.
These old 56% Bowmore Cask Strength releases were for a long time the best of the old core range Bowmores, especially during the 1990s and especially the screen-printed editions. They are much closer in style to the southern Islay malts with massive, salty coastal notes and some seriously thick peat on the palate. A great, boisterous Islay whisky.

I bought this as a present then did the tour with my brother at Lindores Abbey distillery in Newburgh Fife.The bottle i bought from Whisky-online was cheaper than at Lindores ,very happy again and a very quick delivery.
