Description

Island Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Distillery Bottling 70cl / 43%

An old bottle of Tobermory distillery's Ledaig 1974 Island single malt whisky. This was an official bottling of Tobermory's heavily-peated Ledaig released at some point in the 1990s.

These old 1974 vintage Ledaigs were distilled during one of Ledaig's rare periods of operation in the 1970s. Ledaig distillery had closed in 1930, and operated only from 1972-75 before closing again and reopening under its new Tobermory name in 1979.

These 1974 Ledaigs were bottled in the early to mid 1990s by Tobermory's new owner Burn Stewart under whose guidance the distillery gradually recovered before becoming the powerhouse it is today.
