An old bottling of Highland Park's iconic 12-year-old island single malt whisky bottled in the 2010s during a period where this benchmark whisky made a welcome return to form, regaining its complexity after a brief wobbly period a few years earlier.
Like the best 12-year-old Highland Parks, this is rich, heathery, peaty, smoky, fruity and honied with a wonderful depth of coastal notes and sherry qualities. A single malt with a justified reputation as a great all-rounder.
