Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Distillery Bottling 75cl / 61.9%
A 1969 Hillside bottled at 25 years of age under the Rare Malts label back in the mid 1990s. This was one of the earliest Rare Malts and set a real standard and tone for the rest of the series. Very old style, distillate driven, Highlands style whisky from an otherwise barely bottled distillery. Very waxy, flinty, mineral and slightly farmy with lots of white fruits and wildflower notes. Excellent old style whisky; a real acquired taste but something utterly spectacular for those that do. A great and hard to find example from the Rare Malts series.

Richly sherried and fruit driven and all the better for knowing that all proceeds will go the very worthwhile cause of Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance.
I bought this as a present then did the tour with my brother at Lindores Abbey distillery in Newburgh Fife. The bottle i bought from Whisky-online was cheaper than at Lindores ,very happy again and a very quick delivery.
