A wonderful old single cask Longmorn 1967 Speyside single malt whisky bottled by Gordon & Macphail at a gentle but complex 43% as part of their Distillery Labels range of semi-official licensed bottlings. This single cask Longmorn 1967 was released in 2015, meaning the whisky must be 47 or 48 years old.

Longmorn is in many industry professionals' top five distilleries but has yet to really break through with the general public of whisky buyers. Yet the distillery has produced some stunning whiskies over the years and G&M have bottled their fair share. Cask 4645 from Longmorn's 1967 vintage was a first fill sherry butt cask and after nigh-on five decades of maturation the whisky is soft and delicate, with a sweet sherry nose mingling with with ripe nectarine notes. An absolute delight.
