A 1980 Glen Mhor Highland single malt whisky bottled by Gordon & MacPhail for their Rare Vintage range at palate-friendly 43%. This edition was bottled in 2011, making the hwisky 30 or 31 years old.

Gordon & MacPhail seem to have better stocks than anyone from the Glen Mhor distillery, which closed in 1983 in the first wave of shutdowns during the whisky lake crisis and is now getting extremely scarce. This 1980 Glen Mhor is a fine example aged at least 30 years, and leans more towards the thick, heady richness and wax-driven power that often made this distillery so great.
