Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky Distillery Bottling 70cl / 46.0%
A 1961 Glenfarclas released in 2007 as part of the distilleries first release for The Family Cask series.
Drawn from a single Sherry Hogshead that yielded just 159 bottles at a precise 46.0%.
Take a minute to read the tasting notes below for one of the oldest releases in the Family Cask Series.
Exquisite dark peat amber. A beautifully rich, fruity nose - astonishing for a whisky which is over 45 years old. Very sweet; almost toffee apple sweet.A big whisky, perfect in front of an open fire. It's a real armchair whisky; one that you can sit and enjoy for a long time.

Lightweight, thin on flavour and not much in the way of a finish. Certainly not worth paying the “Distillers Reserve” premium over their standard single malt.
Have not opened it yet - being chased for a review
This shop has been chasing me for a review about this product several times now but I still haven’t opened it yet. I cannot say anything about it. Not everyone buys a whisky and opens it within a few weeks of arrival. Make of this what you want.
